There is no COVID-19 registered in Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan remains the only country in the who European region where no single case of COVID-19 has been reported.
This was stated by the head of the technical Advisory mission of the regional office for Europe of the world Health Organization (who / Europe) Catherine Smallwood in a briefing held in the building of the chamber of Commerce and industry of Turkmenistan on July 15, 2020. As we reported earlier, the who mission arrived in Turkmenistan on July 7. The head of the mission, Catherine Smallwood, said that during their stay in Turkmenistan, the experts visited various medical institutions, entry points, laboratories in the regions and the capital of the country, met with health workers, and got acquainted with the ongoing activities in the field of epidemiological surveillance. She noted that it is necessary to continue to strengthen the preventive measures initiated in Turkmenistan.
