Representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan took part in laying wreaths at the monument to the unknown soldier in the restored war memorial of the city of Turkmenabat in Lebap province.
Wreaths were also laid at the foot of the monument to the unknown soldier installed here on behalf of the government of Turkmenistan and the US Embassy in Turkmenistan.
The soldiers who died of wounds and were brought to the hospital evacuated to the city of Turkmenabat (then Chardzhou) for treatment are buried in the war memorial. Since then, the graves of soldiers are carefully tended, before the day and on Victory day, flowers and wreaths are laid on them. And on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the victory In the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945, capital improvements were carried out here and the memorial was surrounded by a fence.
The event was attended by representatives of the public of the city of Turkmenabat, grandsons and great-grandsons of participants of the great Patriotic war.
On the same day, sadaka was given in memory of those who died during the great Patriotic war at the Ayla agsham Palace of celebrations.
