Turkmenistan: construction of the second stage of the Lebap cement plant will begin
This month, the construction of the second stage of the Lebap cement plant in the Koitendag etrap of the Lebap velayat will begin.
Its production capacity will be 1 million tons of cement per year. The enterprise will be built by specialists of the economic society “Turkmen enjam”. By the decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of industry and construction of Turkmenistan is allowed to conclude a contract with this company with the condition of construction of external supply engineering systems of electricity, gas, water supply and Sewerage, Railways. It is planned to put it into operation in December 2022.
The first stage of the Lebap cement plant was commissioned in December 2013. Since then, the company has been providing high-quality binding material for construction sites in the country. And some of the products are exported to other countries. After the construction of the second stage of the plant is completed, its export opportunities will increase significantly.
