On may 9, in the morning, flowers were laid at the eternal flame in the Bitaraplyk culture and recreation Park in Turkmenabat.
This is how the memory of the fallen during the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945 was honored. The ceremony was attended by war veterans, wives of war participants, people who worked in the rear during the war, representatives of the velayat and city khakimliks, public organizations, enterprises and organizations, military, residents of the city.
During the great Patriotic war, fighters from Turkmenistan fought alongside representatives of other Nations on various fronts and made a significant contribution to the Victory. About 100 people from Turkmenistan were awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union for their military services, and about 20 fighters became full holders of the order of Glory. And those who remained in the rear worked tirelessly and provided the front with food and industrial products.
It has become a tradition to come every year on may 9 to the eternal flame and the monument to the unknown soldier and honor the memory of those who fought for their Homeland. And the 75th anniversary of the Victory was no exception.
On normal days, students of cities and etraps of the velayat come here. The newlyweds bring flowers to the eternal flame and the monument to the unknown soldier on the first day of their marriage and honor the memory of people who gave their lives for their Country with a minute of silence.
