Commissioning of a gas compressor station has started in Malay
Apr 15, 2020
Commissioning of technological systems of the gas compressor station at the “Lebapgazchykarysh” Malay field has begun.
In 2018, a contract was signed between the state concern “Turkmengaz” and the company “Petro Gas LLP” (great Britain) for the construction of infrastructure and communication facilities of the station. More than 672.6 million manats have been allocated for the project. The capacity of the gas compressor station is 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year. To date, the contractor has delivered 95% of the funds and equipment specified in the design and estimate documentation. The volume of commissioning works is 5%.
The Malay gas field was commissioned in 1986. Since then, the pressure of natural gas has decreased. The commissioning of a new gas compressor station will allow the largest amount of this natural wealth to be extracted, which, in turn, will create an opportunity to increase the volume of “blue fuel”supplied for export.
