A bus station will be built on the site of the former airport
A new bus station will be built on the site of the former airport in Turkmenabat.
Its main building will be in the form of an octagonal star two stories high. The center of its roof will be decorated with a carpet pattern of the Lebap velayat, placed on the State Flag of Turkmenistan. The bus station with a waiting room, information Desk, medical center, rooms for mother and child, prayer services is designed to serve 700 people. It will also operate a post office with a cellular and urban communication system, ticket offices for railway and air transport, buses, canteen, shopping terminals, shops and other services. Passengers will get on the buses in the Parking lot under the canopy, and it is designed for 10 buses. A Parking lot for cars will accommodate 100 cars.
The bus station will be built by specialists of the economic society “Mukhammet-Balkan. Its construction is planned to be completed in 2022. It is expected that in a year after this, the Ashgabat — Turkmenabat autobahn will also be brought to the city of Turkmenabat.
