Turkmenistan established a State Commission on the organized holding of the grain harvest in 2019. The corresponding resolution at a government meeting via video link was signed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
According to the document, the tasks of this state commission are to carry out the harvest of the grown crop without loss, to ensure its uninterrupted transportation to warehouses and elevators, to conduct timely settlements with grain producers.
The document requires the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan to organize on-site proper maintenance of combine harvesters, to ensure their productive and uninterrupted work in the harvesting area.
The Ministry of Industry and Communications of Turkmenistan is entrusted with ensuring the timely and lossless transportation of the harvested wheat from fields to reception centers, warehouses and elevators. Also, the decree of the head of state allows the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection to transport vehicles of other ministries and departments on a contract basis, as well as private vehicles, when transporting wheat.
In other provinces of Turkmenistan, the Galla Bayramy holiday was also celebrated on a large scale. So, in particular, large-scale events with the participation of axals were held in Lebap velayat, where issues of using the most advanced technology in harvesting were discussed.
Excursions to the local history museum of Lebap velayat were conducted.
Exhibitions were held on the ground with the achievements of the national economy. Then the procession began, which took off from the Turkmenabat-Farab bridge and ended on the main street of the city. In addition, large-scale folk festivals were held, such as dances, songs, folk games, and national dishes were prepared. Aksakals gave permission to start this holiday. Residents of Turkmenabad celebrated this holiday with fun covered with dastarkhan, games, dances and songs.
