Older generation athletes competed
The Lebap velayat volleyball championship among senior athletes was held at the sports school No. 10 in Turkmenabat.
The competitions held annually by the main Directorate of sports and youth policy of the velayat were attended by teams of etraps and cities made up of older generation athletes. The meetings between them lasted two days.
Among 40-year — old men, the first place was taken by the team of the halach etrap, the second place-by the Kerki etrap and the third place-by the city of Turkmenabat. Among 40-50-year-old men, the strongest team was the city of Turkmenabat. The second and third places, respectively, were taken by the teams of Sayat and Deynau etraps.
Women’s teams were represented by representatives of the fair sex of 50-60 years of age. At the meetings most points scored team Danauskas the region and became the champion of the velayat Team Chardzhou etrap and city Turmenabad settled for second and third places.
The winners were awarded certificates of Honor and valuable prizes by the organizers of the competition.
