Italian will be taught in secondary schools
Starting from the new school year, some secondary schools in Turkmenistan will introduce an Italian language course. This was reported in the conference of educational workers, which was held at the Institute of telecommunications and Informatics.
The initiative to teach Italian in secondary schools belongs to the Leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He put forward this idea during an official visit to the Republic of Italy in 2019. From the new school year, this language will be introduced as a separate subject.
The new subject was prepared by the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen state publishing service. The curriculum prepared by specialists has been printed and sent to the schools where this language will be taught.
