In the Turkmenabad silk Association 182 thousand square meters of silk fabric were woven
Over the past period, 5 million 252 square meters of cotton and 182 thousand square meters of silk were woven in the Turkmenabad silk Association.
Silk carpets are also woven here. Over the past months, the Association’s carpet makers have produced 116 square meters of this product, which is in high demand among consumers. This means that the growth rate compared to the corresponding period last year was 136.5 percent.
The raw materials required for the enterprise are produced in the Lebap velayat. Silkworm breeding has been carried out here since ancient times. Over the past period, 40.6 tons of this raw material were produced, which is widely used in various areas of the national economy, and, first of all, in the textile industry. At the same time, the growth rate compared to the corresponding period last year was 128.2 percent.
